BOHO SENIOR TEA

We are delighted to share this boho senior tea for a very special gal in the Stamped family. In the Lake Highlands area of Dallas, graduating senior girls have “teas,” themed graduation parties. We created a special celebration for Reese, full of bright colors, butterflies–and the longest dining table we’ve ever seen! This party was an absolute blast to create. We aren’t sure who had more fun… us, Reese, or the guests! Alyssa Cates Studio beautifully captured the day. It was pure joy!

Our custom, hand-delivered boxed invitations–with personalized butterfly tags–set the tone. Inside, a vibrant, layered invitation lay atop a bed of rocks. The magenta and citrine colors became the base of our color palette, mixed with bright pink and gold. Lake Highlands balloon vendor In The Air Balloons perfectly matched our colors to create a balloon backdrop for photos, and Central Market created floral arrangements bursting with color.

The girls walked in to discover an intimate tea for 21 in the beautiful backyard of our host, Kelly. Our friends at Clampitt Paper Company provided the wood pallets, which we stacked to make a 22-foot table. We created custom personalized stationery sets for each guest, which served as their place cards; perfect for writing home from college!

We found fabric , in vivid colors and patterns, to layer under the table, plus fluffy pillows for the girls to sit on. Reese is attending The University of Texas at Austin, so we added pops of orange to the table, with votives from Branching Out Events, and paper butterflies that matched the personalized tags on their invitations. The table had an instant “wow” in the center: a 3-foot colorful taper candle holder from Lit Lake Highlands.

Reese’s favorites were served: Jersey Mike’s subs, chips, and, of course, Longhorn cookies made by another Lake Highlands favorite, A Dancing Baker. Reese loves iced coffee from Dunkin’, so we had plenty of that on hand, too–even their signature cups. We made the “next stop: Austin” cocktail napkins and signage.

To add to the celebration, we created a custom art station, with small square canvases, individual palettes and brushes, and paints in our color palette. A hand-painted sign instructed each of the girls to paint a canvas for Reese to hang in her dorm room. Such a special keepsake!

We also played a version of Scattergories–focusing on the category, “things Reese loves, A-Z.” This was a big hit! Volcano candles from Anthropologie were the prizes.

Finally, a senior celebration isn’t complete without a photo area. We created a special “Hook ‘em” wood cutout, which doubled as a photo prop and dorm decor. There was even a special appearance by a famous singer! We were all laughing and taking turns posing with Mr. Styles.

The day was so special, and certainly a sweet senior year memory. Cheers to the class of 2021. Hook ‘em!
