We understand that every person, project and event is unique. To give you an idea of what it looks like to work with us, we created a guide to our design process from start to finish.

Please note this timeline is based on the process for custom wedding stationery and other extensive design projects. For non-wedding orders, typical turnaround time is one to three weeks and can be handled by e-mail or phone.


Howdy from Stamped Paper Co.! The first step in our process is to complete our Getting Started form. This is our way of learning a little more about you, and seeing if SPC is the right fit for you and your event. Say howdy here!


Let’s get the party started with a phone call or an in-person meeting. During this one-hour complimentary consultation, we will share a collection of samples we think will be similar to your design aesthetic. We will also explain printing techniques, fonts versus calligraphy, and review paper weights and color swatches. Be sure to bring in what inspires you: a photo, another invitation, fabric swatch, etc. The more pieces, the merrier. Together we will dream up ideas to make your vision come to life on paper!


Once we have all the details, including your budget, we will send you an estimate proposal for your paper needs. Since everything we do is custom, the pricing will depend on many factors, including quantity, printing style, paper stock, and the complexity of the design. As an example, our most basic invitation set starts at around $1,800 (for 100 invitation sets). Once you approve an estimate, we will need a signed estimate approval contract, and a 50% deposit to get started.


We will send you a personal timeline as we start the design phase that includes every step from the time you'll see design concepts, to the time we deliver your custom paper goods!



Time for us to bring your vision to life on paper! Initial design concepts take anywhere from two to three weeks. First, we share a digital file with several design options. From there we can discuss the many choices, mixing and matching fonts and styles, and any changes you would like to make. We include up to two rounds of revisions in our original estimate, and additional rounds cost $50/additional proof.


Next up is production! Our goal here at SPC is to provide you with a product that not only meets your standards, but also exceeds them. Upon request, you may see a printed sample before the entire order is printed. Once you have signed off on the final proof, any additional changes will incur a $50 charge per change. Our standard print timing is approximately two to four weeks for basic printing techniques. Exact production timing will depend on the intricacy of your custom design package. We print almost all of our paper goods locally, allowing us to "press check" our paper goods at the printers, ensuring perfect color and production.


We are happy to help stuff, stamp and mail your invitations on your behalf, or you can arrange to pick you your finished product here at our studio. Feel free to ask us about our assembly services and fees.


We will send you a final invoice for the balance due once your order is complete and shipped (or mailed). We accept payment by check or cash.
